The amount of love I have for Benedict Cumberbatch is so overwhelming I had to stop to contain all my feels when I watched his interviews.

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS is a ton loads of fun, the casts are amazing, the sparks of Spork… oh God I can see that now… and Benedict is so terrifying that I, for the first time in my movie and life experience, am seriously scared of his version of a villain.

WHAT: A super nerdy tea party/pot luck! Seriously, we’ll provide the tea (lots and lots of nerdy fandom blends), and if you can, bring some treats to share! Cookies, cake, finger sandwiches, bags of chips, whatever. It’s a party! (er, no booze will be served. I should mention that.)
WHY: Because Boston deserves a feel good party right now, and the Red Cross always needs donations.
WHEN: Saturday, May 11th from Noon until 4 PM. Maybe later? We’ll see.
WHERE: The location is part of Suffolk University! Address of the building is 73 Tremont St. You will need to provide some sort of ID to show campus security, as they are cracking down for obvious reasons. Any photo ID is fine, and you DO NOT have to be a student to attend!
HOW: Just show up! We won’t be charging any admission, though we will encourage a ‘pay what you’d like’ system, as what we don’t use to cover food and other expenses will be donated to The Red Cross. We’ll also have a number of prizes to be raffled away!
A quick note about costumes/attire: The dress code at the tea parties has always been ‘Just Wear Whatever You Want’. Fancy Dress is encouraged. Cosplay is encouraged. Jeans and your favorite tea-shirt (ha, get it?) is encouraged! Wear whatever you’d like, trust me, you will be welcomed with open arms no matter what. And though it’s never been an issue in the past, I’m asking that if you are cosplaying, PLEASE leave any prop/replica weapons at home. Campus security will NOT be amused by your screen accurate prop gun, John cosplayers.
Want to go but feeling shy?: Hey, don’t sweat it, this is not unusual! Trust me, I get suuuuper shy and awkward when I’m in a group of unfamiliar faces for the first time, and I know that there are a lot of people in fandom in the same boat. We want everyone at the party to be comfortable and have a good time. If you feel like hanging on the edges of the room, that’s fine! Trust me, everyone is there to meet new friends and talk to new people. You will absolutely NOT be forced to talk or interact in any way you are not comfortable with. If someone is doing something that makes you uncomfortable, please tell me or one of the volunteer helpers IMMEDIATELY. Just trying to figure out who to talk to but don’t know who to approach or how? Feel free to wave me down for a chat. Or the wonderfully friendly Erin or Jackie, who are driving all the way up to Boston from Atlanta with me to help out. We are literally there to hang out with you and make sure you have fun.
Any other questions? You can find more info and RSVP on the Facebook Event Page! That’s also a good place to drop questions!
Please Signal Boost!

Real BABY Benedict!!! Be still my heart….

Photo from Mirrorpix. Caption:

Mum and dad Wanda Ventham, well know actress of television, and her husband Tim Carlton an actor, show off their newborn baby son. Benedict (Cumberbatch), Ben for short, was born at the Queen Charlotte’s Hospital in West London, weighing nine pounds and 2 ounces.

My first thought when I saw the last pic: I KNOW THAT EYES!!!

The Hälssen & Lyon tea calendar features calendar days made from tea leaves.

I would not mind giving this a try.

Tears formed in my eyes just thinking about this.

This is neat!

SCREECH

Before I die….I want to spend a year of my life participating in this beautiful thing called a tea calendar…

WANT. NEED.
